Samsung found #guilty of patent infringement. Ordered to pay Apple Inc. over $ 1 Billion in damages.

A federal jury has sided with Apple Inc. against Samsung in a high profile patent infringement case verdict. Apple alleged that Samsung, a competitor, wilfully copied the look and feel of the iPhone to create the Samsung Galaxy line. A jury has advised Samsung pay over 1 Billion Dollars in damages for “irreparable harm” to Apple Inc.

Additionally, Samsung alleged that Apple Inc. infringed on their patents. However, the jury awarded Samsung $0 in damages. Samsung is expected to file an appeal.
